What is Pole Brunch?
Bottom's Up Pole Brunch is the only of its kind in New Orleans! Unlike drag brunch or jazz brunch, Pole Brunch was created by Palm&Pine and Bella Blue to bring together the strength and agility of pole dancing, the glitz, and high-glamour of burlesque, with New Orleans' brunch traditions. Bottom's Up joins all of these elements for a one-of-a-kind dining experience. Expect to see artistic and tasteful entertainment sets while enjoying an incredible brunch menu, cocktails, and desserts that Palm & Pine is known for.
Here’s what you should expect when you come to any Top Burlesque Show in New Orleans:
· Bella Blue will wow you with both her costuming and the elegance of her pole stylings. As she is one of New Orleans’s leading pole dancing teachers, we know you will be amazed at the show she puts on.
· The performers will let you know the level of physical interaction they are comfortable with and will provide you with the same courtesy. Just because they are here to titillate, you should still respect physical boundaries and ask before touching.
· While the costumes may be skimpy, there is no nudity. Parents should consider whether they wish to bring their younger children to this brunch. We would consider this event to be PG-13.
· This is a perfect event for bachelor parties, bachelorette parties, divorce parties, birthdays, anniversaries, retirement parties, and for any other groups seeking something a little sexy, lighthearted, and fun alongside one of the best brunches in New Orleans.
· Like many of the hospitality-oriented hospitality professions in our beautiful city, it is customary to tip Burlesque performers. Especially when a burlesque show has no cover charge, such as at Palm&Pine, there is an expectation that if you are entertained you show appreciation for the performer by contributing to all the expensive things they have to do to perform for you!
Who is Bella Blue?
Bella Blue is a New Orleans born and raised mover, shaker, stripper, artist, and pleasure seeker.
Since 2007, she began to explore beyond the bounds of her formal dance training to expand into forms of movement that were more sensual. While the majority of her career has been as a burlesque performer, she is also an accomplished pole dancer and movement coach.
She’s had the honor of representing New Orleans by headlining festivals and events all over the US and Europe. She has solidified her standing as one of the leading producers and educators within the burlesque industry.
Everyone’s most loved (and sometimes hated) Unicorn Stripper Momme, Bella prides herself on a scientific approach to coaching pole and movement based on body awareness, connective tissue, and muscle engagement, functional range of motion, and active flexibility. She loves coaching new students and newer dancers in the industry but generally loves all aspects of movement and sharing it with everyone interested.
